Description
The N1718NS200 is a robust high-power capsule-style phase-control silicon thyristor (SCR) designed for demanding industrial power-electronics applications. It supports a repetitive peak off-state voltage rating of 2000 V.
Applications:
This thyristor is well suited for large-scale industrial systems such as DC drives, controlled rectifiers, soft-starters for large motors, rail and marine propulsion, renewable-energy converters, and other power modules where very high current and voltage handling in a compact package are required.

- Voltage rating: For the 2000-volt variant, V_DRM / V_RRM up to approximately 2000 V.
- Average on-state current (I_T(AV)): Up to about 1718 A when double-side cooled at Tsink = 55 °C.
- Thermal resistance (junction-to-heatsink): Typical Rθ_JK around 0.024 K/W (double-side cooled) enabling efficient heat dissipation.
- On-state characteristic: Low V_T0 (≈ 0.979 V) and low slope resistance (r_T ≈ 0.169 mΩ) supporting high current conduction with minimal losses.
- Operating junction temperature range: from –40 °C up to +125 °C typical
- Packaging & mounting: Heavy-duty capsule (clamp-mount style) suited for high-current, high-power
